Who you are dealing with
ASAP Appliance Repairs Ltd is a limited company registered in England and Wales, VAT GB492439658. We trade as ASAP Repairs and repair domestic appliances across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. You can reach us on 0115 648 0929 or at asapdomesticrepairs@gmail.com.
Booking a repair
A booking is confirmed when we tell you it is — by text, email or over the phone. Until then a slot is not held for you. We will always confirm the date and whether it is a morning or an afternoon visit.
We ask that someone over 18 is at the property, that we can get to the appliance, and that its power and water supplies are on. If we arrive and cannot work safely or cannot reach the appliance, we may have to charge for the visit.
What it costs
Our engineer's visit carries a diagnostic fee, quoted to you before you book. It covers coming out, diagnosing the fault and telling you exactly what is wrong. If we can fix it there and then without parts, the price quoted at booking is the price you pay.
If parts are needed we quote for them on site, before doing the work. You are free to say no. Nothing is ordered or fitted without your agreement.
We do not give firm repair prices over the phone or online before an engineer has seen the appliance. A price given blind is a guess, and a guess is how people end up feeling misled.
Our guarantee
Our workmanship carries a 90-day workmanship guarantee. If the same fault returns within that time and it is down to the work we did, we come back and put it right at no charge. Parts carry the manufacturer's own warranty, which we will tell you about at the time.
The guarantee covers the repair we carried out. It does not cover a different fault, a new fault caused by something else, or an appliance someone else has worked on since our visit.
Cancelling or rearranging
Tell us as early as you can and there is no charge — a call, a text or a reply to your confirmation message is enough. We would far rather move a booking than lose it.
Because you arranged this at a distance you also have a legal right to cancel within 14 days, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work inside those 14 days and then cancel, we may charge for the work already done at your request. That is the law, and we think it is fair.
Using this website
The fault guides and error-code explanations here are general information drawn from manufacturer documentation, to help you understand what your appliance is telling you. They are not a substitute for a qualified engineer, and acting on them is at your own risk.
Never attempt a repair involving mains electricity, gas or a sealed refrigeration system yourself. Unplug an appliance before looking at it, and if in any doubt call us.
The content, images and layout of this site belong to us. Read it, print it, link to it — please do not copy it wholesale onto another site.
If something goes wrong
Tell us. Ring or email and we will look into it properly. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which entitles you to services carried out with reasonable care and skill.
Our liability is limited to putting right the work we did, or refunding what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses such as spoiled food or lost earnings, except where the law does not allow us to limit that.
Changes
If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top. The terms that apply to your repair are the ones published when you booked it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
