What 3C actually means

The control board has lost proper feedback from the drum motor, so the machine stops rather than spin blind.

Samsung's 3C is a motor fault. The control board relies on a hall sensor to tell it how fast and in which direction the motor is turning; when those signals stop making sense, the wash halts. Typically the drum rocks or jerks a little, then the machine gives up mid-cycle, often as it tries to build up to a spin.

What 3C looks like on a Samsung washing machine

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then switch back on and try a short cycle — it clears the odd one-off glitch.
Take the load out and turn the drum by hand: it should spin freely with no grinding or catching. If it feels rough or noisy, note that for the engineer.
Check nothing has slipped between the drum and the outer tub (coins, wire from a bra) that could be stopping it turning.
