What F07 actually means

The control board has detected that the heater circuit is stuck live when it should be switched off, so it shuts the cycle down as a safety measure.

Heating in an Indesit washer dryer is switched by a relay on the main control board. F07 means the board has checked that relay and found it still closed — in other words the heater could be powered when the programme has not asked for it — so it halts the wash rather than risk heating an empty or draining drum. The usual pattern the owner sees is the cycle stopping partway through, no hot water, and in many cases the drain pump running continuously.
