What H06 actually means
The dishwasher hasn't taken in enough water in the time it expects, so it has stopped the programme.
On this Leisure machine H06 is the water inlet fault. The control board opens the fill valve at the start of the wash and watches the water level; if the level doesn't reach the point it wants within the allotted time, it abandons the cycle and shows the code rather than run the pump and heater dry. It is not the same fault as H05, which is the opposite problem — water coming in when the machine hasn't asked for it.
What H06 looks like on a Leisure dishwasher

What usually causes it
- Water supply tap at the machine turned off or only part open
- Kinked, crushed or blocked fill hose behind the machine
- Blocked filter in the inlet hose connection or the aqua-stop valve on the tap end
- Faulty water inlet (fill) solenoid valve not opening
- Pressure switch or level sensing circuit misreading the water level
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Check the water supply tap under the sink or behind the machine is fully open, and that nothing has been knocked shut during other work.
- Look behind the machine and make sure the fill hose isn't kinked or trapped, without pulling the dishwasher hard against its hose.
- Run a hot tap in the kitchen for a moment to confirm you actually have mains water and pressure.
- Turn the dishwasher off at the wall for a minute, switch back on and start a short programme to see whether the code returns.
