What F07 actually means
The dishwasher has stopped because the water isn't heating the way it should — either it isn't reaching temperature, or the control board has seen the water get too hot.
During the heating part of the cycle the machine watches the water temperature through a sensor (an NTC thermistor). If the temperature doesn't climb as expected, or if it reads above the safe limit the board is set to, the cycle is abandoned and F07 is shown with the lights flashing. Rangemaster's own user guide is blunt about this one — F7 is in the group of codes it tells you to hand straight to a service engineer rather than attempt yourself.
What F07 looks like on a Rangemaster dishwasher
Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a Rangemaster dishwasher, F07 usually shows up as one or more of these:
- Dishwasher door won't open
- Door won't lock or click shut
- Door lock light flashing
- Door stuck shut with the load inside

What usually causes it
- Faulty water temperature sensor giving the board a false reading

What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the dishwasher off at the wall for a minute, then switch it back on and start a short cycle — if the fault was a one-off glitch it will clear
- Check the dishes at the end of a cycle: if they come out stone cold and the door isn't steamy, that points to a heating failure rather than a sensor reading too high
