What E07 actually means

The machine can't get a believable reading of how much water is in the drum, so it stops rather than risk over- or under-filling.

On Samsung machines this code (shown as 1E on some models) points at the water level sensor and the thin pressure hose that connects it to the tub. That hose carries trapped air to the sensor, and the sensor converts the air pressure into a water level. If it's blocked with sludge, split, kinked or pushed off, the control board sees a level that makes no sense — often it thinks the drum is already full at the start of the fill, or never full — and halts the cycle.

What usually causes it

Blocked or sludged-up pressure hose (the commonest by far, especially on machines run on low-temperature washes)
Split, perished or kinked pressure hose
Hose worked loose from the sensor or the tub connection
Failed water level (pressure) sensor itself
Control board fault reading the sensor — much rarer than people assume

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then power back up and start a short cycle — a one-off misread will sometimes clear.
Check the machine isn't standing in a way that leaves the drain hose pushed hard against the wall or kinked, and that the hose isn't sitting too low in a standpipe.
Clean the filter and make sure the drum has emptied — persistent standing water alongside this code is worth mentioning when you book a visit.
