Beyond that, induction faults are usually electronic: the zones talk to a control board, and a communication error will take out one zone or the whole hob and show a code such as E9 or 61.

A Montpellier induction hob will usually tell you what it thinks is wrong before anyone opens it up. These are the codes we hold for this make that relate to not working:
- E05 — The hob has got too hot inside and has shut the zone down to protect itself until it cools.
- F09 — The hob has lost a sensible reading from the temperature sensor built into one of its induction coils, so it shuts that zone down rather than heat blind.

The usual causes on a Montpellier induction hob
