The Samsung fault codes that point at this
A Samsung washing machine will usually tell you what it thinks is wrong before anyone opens it up. These are the codes we hold for this make that relate to beeping or bleeping:
- 1E — The machine can't tell how much water is in the drum, so it stops rather than risk overfilling or running the heater dry.
- 2E — The machine hasn't managed to empty its water within the time allowed, so it has stopped with a drum full of water.
- 3C — The control board has lost proper feedback from the drum motor, so the machine stops rather than spin blind.
- 3E — The machine can't tell how fast the drum motor is turning, so it stops rather than risk running blind.
- 4C — The machine isn't getting water in fast enough, so it has stopped and is telling you it can't fill.

- 5E — The machine has tried to pump the water out and, after about ten minutes, the water level hasn't dropped — so it stops and shows 5E.
- 8E — The machine has drawn more electrical current than it should and shut itself down to protect the motor and control board.
