What E00 actually means

E00 isn't a fault — it's the machine telling you there are no stored error codes in its memory.

E00 only appears in the engineer's diagnostic (test) mode, on the screen that lists the machine's fault history. It means the memory is empty: either nothing has ever been logged, or the records have been cleared. It doesn't stop the machine and doesn't point to anything broken.

What E00 looks like on a ElectriQ washing machine

Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a ElectriQ washing machine, E00 usually shows up as one or more of these:

  • Machine not draining
  • Water left in the drum at the end of the cycle
  • Stops mid-cycle full of water
  • Standing water in the bottom
  • No function at all
  • Dead — nothing lights up
  • Lights flashing and nothing happening
  • Programme won't start

Recognise any of those? That is this fault, and the rest of this page explains what causes it and what you can check yourself.

What usually causes it

  • The machine has been put into test/diagnostic mode by accident
  • Fault history has been wiped after a previous repair
  • No faults have ever been recorded on that control board
  • A control board that has been replaced, so the memory starts empty

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

  1. Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then switch it back on to leave test mode
  2. Turn the programme dial back to off and reselect a normal wash
  3. Run a short cycle and see whether it behaves normally

Which ElectriQ models show E00

E00 means the same thing on all 7 of these models. If yours is not listed, the explanation above still applies — the code is set by the control board, not the model number.
