What E00 actually means

E00 isn't a fault — it's the machine telling you its error log is empty, with no stored fault codes to report.

On the HWDI1480, E00 is what the display shows in the engineer's service mode once the stored error records have been wiped. In other words it's the "no faults recorded" reading rather than a breakdown, and it's normally seen after someone has been through the fault-log function on the control panel rather than during a normal wash or dry cycle. If the machine is otherwise washing, spinning and drying as it should, there is nothing to repair.

What E00 looks like on a Haden washer dryer

Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a Haden washer dryer, E00 usually shows up as one or more of these:

  • Machine not draining
  • Water left in the drum at the end of the cycle
  • Stops mid-cycle full of water
  • Standing water in the bottom
  • Not filling with water
  • No water going in
  • Takes for ever to fill
  • Stops right at the start of the cycle

Recognise any of those? That is this fault, and the rest of this page explains what causes it and what you can check yourself.

What usually causes it

  • The stored fault history has been cleared, so the log reads empty
  • Someone has pressed a button combination that put the machine into service mode
  • A previous engineer or retailer wiped the error records after a repair
  • The machine is genuinely holding no fault codes

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

  1. Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then switch it back on — it should return to normal programme selection rather than the service display
  2. Run a short wash and watch whether it fills, drains and spins normally; if it does, no action is needed
  3. Note down any other code that appears during an actual cycle, as that is the one worth reporting

Which Haden models show E00

E00 means the same thing on this model. If yours is not listed, the explanation above still applies — the code is set by the control board, not the model number.

What does E00 mean on a Haden washer dryer?

Can I fix Haden E00 myself?

There are 3 checks you can safely do yourself first.

  1. Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then switch it back on — it should return to normal programme selection rather than the service display.
  2. Run a short wash and watch whether it fills, drains and spins normally; if it does, no action is needed.
  3. Note down any other code that appears during an actual cycle, as that is the one worth reporting.

This often clears with those checks, and rarely needs an engineer.
