What F03 actually means
The dishwasher isn't seeing water flow into the machine — the flow meter that counts water going in has stopped sending signals, so the cycle is halted.
Haden's Y-series control board fills by counting pulses from a flow meter on the water inlet. If it opens the fill valve and gets no pulses back within the expected window, it assumes no water is arriving and throws F03 rather than running the pump and heater dry. On the HDD60CW you'll normally see it early in the cycle, before any real wash noise, with the lights blinking and the programme going no further.
What F03 looks like on a Haden dishwasher
Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a Haden dishwasher, F03 usually shows up as one or more of these:
- Not filling with water
- No water going in
- Takes for ever to fill
- Stops right at the start of the cycle
- Dishes coming out cold and wet
- Not drying the load
- Water not heating up
- No function at all

What usually causes it
- Water supply turned off, or the tap behind the machine only part open
- Kinked, crushed or blocked fill hose
- Blocked inlet filter where the hose screws onto the machine, often furred up in hard water areas
- Faulty inlet valve not opening when the board tells it to
- Flow meter itself stuck or not sending pulses even though water is going in — the machine fills but still faults
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Check the water tap feeding the dishwasher is fully open.
- Look behind the machine and make sure the fill hose isn't kinked or trapped, especially if the dishwasher has been pulled out recently.
- If a nearby tap runs slowly too, you may have low mains pressure or a stopcock partly closed.
- Turn the dishwasher off at the wall for a minute, switch it back on and start a short programme to see if the code returns.
