What H00 actually means
This isn't a fault \llowest setting \u2014 it means the built-in water softener is set to "off", the level used for naturally soft water.
On these Hisense dishwashers the H numbers are the water hardness settings for the salt-based softener, adjusted in a setting mode and shown on the display. H0 (sometimes read as H00) is the bottom of the scale \u2014 softener off \u2014 and the display returns to it after you cycle past the top setting, H7. If it appears while you are pressing buttons, the machine is telling you the current hardness level rather than reporting a breakdown.
What H00 looks like on a Hisense dishwasher

What usually causes it
- The softener setting has been stepped through and has wrapped back round to "off"
- Someone has entered the hardness setting mode by accident
- The dishwasher was set for a soft water area (roughly up to 8\u00b0dH) at installation
- A reset or power cut has returned the setting to the default
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Find out whether your area actually has soft water \u2014 if it doesn't, the setting needs raising, which is done from the control panel as described in your manual
- Step the hardness setting through until it matches your local water hardness; it will roll back round to H0 once you go past the highest level
- If the display is stuck on it and won't respond, switch off at the wall for a minute and try again
- Check there is dishwasher salt in the softener compartment if you are in a hard water area
