What H04 actually means
This isn't a fault "\u2014 it's the water hardness setting for the built-in salt softener, and H4 is the level the dishwasher leaves the factory on.
On these Hisense machines, holding the relevant button puts the dishwasher into water-hardness setting mode: the buzzer sounds once and an "H" figure flashes on the display so you can pick the level that suits your local water. H04 is the default. If you see it flashing rather than a cycle time, the machine has dropped into that setting mode he wwrong moment, usually because a button was held down a fraction too long.
What H04 looks like on a Hisense dishwasher

What usually causes it
- A button held down long enough to enter the water hardness setting mode
- Someone changing the softener setting after topping up the salt

- A wiped or reset control board returning to its default H4 setting
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Leave the machine alone for a few seconds \u2ing to see if the display returns to normal on its own
- Turn it off at the wall for a minute, then switch back on and start a programme as usual
- Check the salt reservoir cap under the lower basket is screwed down fully after any salt top-up
- Re-select your programme and confirm the cycle time appears in place of the H reading
