What E02 actually means

The temperature sensor on the fridge side's evaporator has stopped giving a sensible reading, so the appliance has switched to a basic timed cooling pattern instead.

Inside the fridge compartment there is a sensor on the evaporator (the cooling coil) that tells the control board how cold that coil is. When the board sees that sensor as open circuit or short circuit, it flags E2 and stops relying on it — instead the compressor is run to a fixed timer, roughly half an hour on and twenty minutes off. The freezer display alternates between E2 and the set temperature, and the warning symbol lights up.

Turn the appliance off at the wall for a minute and back on — if the code was a one-off glitch it may clear, though a genuine sensor fault will come straight back
Check food temperatures over the next day or two, as the timed cooling pattern may not hold the fridge at the temperature you have set
