What is actually happening

A flashing light is a fault code being reported in the only way the machine can. On most makes the pattern of flashes or the code shown identifies the fault precisely, and the two most common are a drain fault and the anti-flood float. The White Knight fault codes that point at this

A White Knight dishwasher will usually tell you what it thinks is wrong before anyone opens it up. These are the codes we hold for this make that relate to lights flashing:

• F02 — The dishwasher has spotted water flowing into the machine at a time when its fill valve is supposed to be shut, so it has stopped to avoid overfilling.
• F03 — The dishwasher isn't getting the water it expects, or it can't measure the water going in, so it has stopped the cycle.
• F04 — The dishwasher has asked for water but the flow meter isn't seeing any coming in, so it stops rather than run dry.
• F06 — The dishwasher has measured the water getting too hot — 77°C or above — and has shut the cycle down.
• F07 — The dishwasher has decided the water isn't heating up as it should, so it has stopped the programme rather than carry on washing cold.
• F08 — The dishwasher has lost the electrical connection to the diverter — the valve that switches water between the upper and lower spray arms — so it stops and shows the fault.
