What F03 actually means
The hob has lost a sensible reading from the temperature sensor on one of its induction coils, so it has shut that zone down rather than heat blind.
Each induction coil under the glass has a temperature sensor fitted to it, and the control board watches it constantly to stop the coil and the glass overheating. When the signal from that sensor goes out of range or disappears altogether, the hob stops heating and shows the fault instead of carrying on without protection. On the C60ISC this is reported alongside F04, and Creda's own guidance is that it needs the manufacturer or an engineer rather than an owner fix.
What F03 looks like on a Creda hob
Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a Creda hob, F03 usually shows up as one or more of these:
- Not heating up
- Takes ages to get to temperature
- Cuts out part way through cooking
- Noisy fan
- Not getting cold evenly
- Cuts out after a few minutes
- No function at all
- Dead — nothing lights up

What usually causes it
- Failed temperature sensor on one of the induction coils
- Loose or damaged sensor connection at the control board
- Prolonged overheating under the glass — often a blocked cooling vent or a fan that has stopped
- Fault on the induction module or control board itself
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the hob off at the wall for a minute, then restore power — a one-off sensor glitch can clear
- Check the ventilation gap around and beneath the hob is not blocked by anything stored in the cupboard below
- Let the hob cool down completely before trying again if you had been cooking hard on a high setting
- Make sure nothing heavy or hot, such as a pan left on the glass, is sitting over the affected zone when you power it back up
