What C00 actually means
This isn't a fault at all othing is stored in the dryer's error memory.
On the C-tronic control used in these Electrolux dryers, the remaining-time display doubles as an error readout, and C0 (shown on some models as C00) is the code for "no error". If you have entered the diagnostic mode, or an engineer has cleared the memory, this is what a healthy control board reports. It does not stop the machine and nothing needs replacing.
What usually causes it
- The dryer has been put into its error-readout mode and has no faults logged
- An earlier fault was cleared or reset after a repair
- A one-off glitch that did not record itself, for example a brief power interruption
- Misread display \u2014 the actual codes to worry about are C6, C7, C8, Cd and CF
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Close the door firmly, switch off at the wall for a minute, then start a normal drying programme and see whether it runs through
- If the drum turns and the clothes dry, carry on using it \u2014 there is nothing to fix
- If a different code appears once it has run, make a note of the exact letters and numbers before calling anyone
