What E19 actually means

Grundig's control board watches a set of thermistors — small temperature sensors — and each one has its own code if the reading goes out of range or disappears altogether. E19 is the flap air sensor: the sensor that tells the board the air temperature in the section fed by the motorised flap. With no trustworthy reading the board falls back on fixed on/off running rather than proper temperature control, so the compartment can end up too warm or too cold and the display holds the fault.

Turn the appliance off at the socket for a minute, then back on — if the sensor has recovered, the fault can clear on its own once power is restored
Make sure food and packaging are not pressed against the internal air vents, which can distort readings and mask a genuine cooling problem
Check both doors are closing and sealing fully, with nothing holding a shelf or drawer proud of the frame
Keep an eye on food temperatures and move anything at risk to a compartment that is still cooling normally
