Look at the vents and air outlets inside the fridge compartment and move any packaging, boxes or bags that are pressed against them.
Check the fridge isn't packed so tightly that air can't move around the shelves.
Make sure both doors are closing fully and the seals aren't folded over or trapped on a shelf edge or drawer — warm air getting in is what causes the ice build-up behind the fan in the first place.
If you can see frost or ice built up around the vents at the back of the fridge, empty the appliance, switch it off at the wall and let it defrost fully with the doors open before switching back on.
Turn it off at the wall for a minute and back on — if the fan was momentarily stalled and has freed itself, the code can clear.
