What E10 actually means

The fridge freezer has lost a reliable reading from the air temperature sensor in its third, convertible compartment, so it can no longer control the temperature in that zone properly.

E10 is an air sensor error on the JKR (convertible/multi-zone) compartment — the sensor that measures the air temperature inside that drawer and tells the control board when to call for cooling. The board has seen a reading that is out of range, or no reading at all, so it flags the fault rather than guess. On other sensor faults in the same family the appliance drops into a timed fallback pattern, running the compressor and fan in fixed on/off periods instead of to temperature, so the compartment may end up warmer or colder than the number on the display suggests.
