What E00 actually means
On these Haden machines E00 isn't a fault at all ing the memory is empty \\ it means the machine has no stored error codes.
E00 is what the control board shows in the engineer's service mode once the fault log has been cleared \u2014 the documentation describes it appearing straight after the stored error records are wiped. In other words, it's confirmation there is nothing on record, not a diagnosis of a problem. If it appears on the display in normal use, the machine has usually been left in or has dropped out of service mode rather than developed a fault.
What usually causes it
- The fault log has been cleared, so there is nothing stored to report
- The machine is sitting in the engineer's service/diagnostic mode
- Buttons pressed in an unusual combination during a cycle, putting the control into test mode
- A control board that has been reset or replaced and has no history yet
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the machine off at the wall socket, leave it a minute, then switch back on and see if the normal programme display returns
- Turn the programme dial back to off and reselect a wash to clear any test mode
- Check nothing is resting on the control panel holding a button in
