What E19 actually means

The machine can't talk to your phone over its NFC contact point, so the app-based programme won't transfer.

Take the case off the phone and hold it flat against the marked NFC spot on the fascia until the transfer finishes
Try the same programme with a different phone if you have one to hand
Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then power up and try again
Set the programme with the dial and buttons in the normal way — the machine will still wash without the phone
