What E15 actually means
The machine has flagged a problem with its waterjet (the spray circuit that pushes water into the drum), and it will not carry on until that is sorted.
On these Servis washer dryers, E15 is listed as a waterjet error. It is one of the codes the control board only shows during the engineer's service autotest ", it is not on the short list of codes intended for the owner (door lock, no water, pump, overflow and voltage), so seeing it usually means either the machine has been put into test mode or the board has dropped the fault out to the display. The fault names the fault but does not set out a cause-by-cause diagnosis for it, so beyond the water supply itself there is little that can honestly be pinned down without the machine in front of you.

What usually causes it
- Water supply turned off, part-closed or running at low pressure
- A kinked or trapped fill hose starving the jet
- Blocked inlet filter where the hose screws onto the machine
- A fault in the water valve feeding the jet circuit
- A control board or wiring fault reporting the jet incorrectly
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Check the tap feeding the machine is fully open and the water is running normally elsewhere in the house
- Look along the fill hose for kinks or crush points, especially where the machine has been pushed back against the wall
- Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then power it back up and start a short cycle to see if the code returns
- Clean the pump filter at the bottom front, as a machine that cannot move water through properly will often throw more than one code
