What E02 actually means
The appliance has lost a sensible reading from one of its temperature sensors and has shut the heating down until it is checked.
The control board watches a temperature sensor and stops heating if the reading goes out of range or disappears altogether. The service material we have for this code covers Beko's induction cooking products, where E2 is logged against the cooler NTC sensor on the induction board — a wiring or plug fault at the sensor as often as a failed sensor itself. We cannot confirm from the documents in front of us that E02 on an oven means the same thing, so we would rather not state it as fact.
What E02 looks like on a Beko oven

- A temperature sensor plug that has worked loose or a chafed sensor lead
- A failed temperature sensor giving an open-circuit or nonsense reading
- A fault on the control board that reads the sensor
- Heat or moisture damage around the sensor connections
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Switch the appliance off at the wall for a minute, then back on — if the code was a one-off glitch it will clear
- Note whether the code appears immediately on switch-on or only once things have warmed up, and tell the engineer; it saves diagnostic time
- If the code returns straight away, leave it switched off rather than trying repeated resets
