What F02 actually means
The touch controls failed the self-check they run every time the appliance is powered up, so the panel won't accept any input.
On Beko's touch-control boards, the control calibrates its sensors against the surrounding conditions the moment mains power is applied — that reference point is what lets it tell a fingertip apart from background noise. If something interferes during those first moments, the calibration fails and the board reports it rather than running blind. You'll see the code and dead or erratic touch keys.
What F02 looks like on a Beko oven
Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a Beko oven, F02 usually shows up as one or more of these:
- No function at all
- Dead — nothing lights up
- Lights flashing and nothing happening
- Programme won't start
- Oven tripping the electrics
- F02 flashing on the display

What usually causes it
- Something resting on or covering the touch panel when power came on
- Very bright light on the panel — direct sunlight, halogen or a fluorescent tube flickering nearby
- A wet, greasy or damp control surface at switch-on
- A fault on the touch-control board itself, or a poor contact between the board and the glass
- Water ingress behind the control area from spills or steam
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Clear everything off the touch panel — cloths, pan lids, packaging — and wipe it clean and completely dry.
- Turn the appliance off at the wall for a minute, then switch it back on without touching any of the keys and with nothing resting on the panel.
- If it sits in strong direct sunlight or under a bright halogen or fluorescent light, shade or switch that light off and power it up again.
- Make sure nobody is leaning on or holding a control while it powers up.
