What F03 actually means

The hob's touch control panel has lost communication with the rest of the hob, so the hob shuts down rather than run without reliable commands.

On these induction hobs the glass touch panel talks to the control electronics underneath. When that conversation breaks down — no reply, or a corrupted one — the hob flags the fault and stops responding to the touch keys. This points at the touch control board itself, and that is normally what ends up being replaced.

What F03 looks like on a Beko hob

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Wipe the glass over the touch keys with a dry cloth and make sure there is nothing resting on the panel — no pans, cloths or standing liquid
Turn the hob off at the wall (or its circuit breaker) for a minute, then switch it back on; this clears a fault caused by a one-off glitch
If the fault clears but comes straight back, it is not a glitch — stop there
