Blomberg E06 washing machine: what it means & what to check

What E06 actually means

The circuit on the main control board that switches power to the drum motor has failed, so the machine has stopped rather than risk the drum running out of control.

The fault ties E06 to the motor triac on the main control board — either shorted through or behaving like a diode. In practice that means the board can no longer switch the motor on and off properly, so the control cuts the programme instead of allowing the drum to turn when it shouldn't. The usual symptom the owner sees is a cycle that turns the drum a few times and then abandons the programme, or a spin that picks up speed and then dies.
