What F11 actually means
The drum has stopped turning and the machine has flagged a fault with the motor or its wiring, so it abandons the programme.
On these Blomberg machines the drum is driven by a brushless (BLDC) motor controlled by its own motor board. F11 is raised when that board and the main board are still talking to each other normally, but the motor itself will not turn — an open circuit or short across the motor phase windings, a failed hall sensor that tells the board where the drum is, or a fault in the phase cables between motor and motor board. The cycle stops part-way, usually with water still in the drum and washing that has not been rinsed.
What F11 looks like on a Blomberg washing machine

What usually causes it
- Fault in the motor windings (open or short circuit on a phase)
- Failed hall sensor on the motor, so the board cannot see the drum turning
- Damaged, chafed or unseated motor phase cables between the motor and its control board
- Faulty motor control board
- Motor phase protection relay stuck short
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then back on and restart — a one-off glitch will sometimes clear.
- Drain the water out through the pump filter at the bottom front before you open the door, so you don't flood the floor.
- Take out some of the washing and try a short programme with a light load — if the drum still won't move at all, it's a motor-side fault, not overloading.
- Turn the drum by hand with the machine switched off; if it feels seized or grinds, mention that when you book the repair.
