Candy E07 washing machine: what it means & what to check

What E07 actually means

The machine can't get a proper reading from the door lock — the control board thinks the door interlock is stuck in the locked position.

On Candy washing machines E07 points at the door safety lock (the interlock that holds the door shut and tells the board it's safe to fill and spin). The board has either found the lock still reporting 'closed' when it shouldn't be, or it can't get a clear signal from it, so the cycle is halted. In practice you'll often find the door won't release at the end of a wash, or the machine refuses to start at all.

Fault on the main control board reading the lock circuit

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Turn the machine off at the wall, leave it a minute, then switch back on — an occasional one-off reading will clear.
Check nothing is trapped in the door seal or caught between door and frame, and that the door shuts fully with a firm click.
If the drum was heavily overloaded, let it stand and try again with less in it — laundry pressed against the door can stop the catch seating.
If the door is stuck shut with water inside, don't force it — leave it and get it looked at.
