Out-of-warranty Candy repairs, done locally

If your Candy appliance is still under the manufacturer's warranty, go to Candy first — you should not be paying for that repair. Once it is out of warranty, you do not have to use them, and you will usually wait less and pay less if you do not.

We are a local firm with over 50 years in the trade, covering Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. The engineer who comes out is one of ours, not a subcontractor from a national call centre.

What it costs

£66 including VAT for an engineer to come out and diagnose the fault — that is the visit and the diagnosis, with nothing added on top. If it is repaired on the visit and needs no parts, the total is £84 including VAT. Any parts needed are quoted on site before we fit them — you decide.

Nothing is taken when you book, and every repair carries a 90-day workmanship guarantee — if our work is at fault in that time we come back and put it right at no charge.

What we hold for Candy

It matters more than it sounds. It means the engineer arrives knowing how your machine comes apart, which part number fits your model rather than one that looks similar, and what the manufacturer says the fault actually is — instead of working it out on your kitchen floor at your expense. Most firms are reading the same user manual you have in the drawer.

My Candy is still under warranty — should I call you?

No. Go to Candy first, or to the retailer you bought it from. If it is in warranty that repair should not cost you anything, and we would only be charging you for something you can have free. Come to us once it is out of warranty — you are not obliged to use the manufacturer then, and you will usually wait less and pay less.

What does a Candy repair cost?

Can you get parts for a Candy?

Usually, yes — we order against your model number rather than a part that looks similar. Where something is genuinely discontinued we will say so plainly rather than order it and hope. If parts turn out to be unobtainable you have paid for the diagnosis and nothing more.

Is it worth repairing a Candy appliance or should I replace it?

That depends on what is wrong and how old it is, and we will tell you straight. If the repair is going to cost more than the machine is worth, we say so — you have paid £66 to find that out, which is a good deal cheaper than replacing something that had five years left in it.
