What E19 actually means
The machine has lost contact with the NFC chip it uses to talk to your phone \u2014 it isn't a washing or water fault.

What E19 looks like on a Candy washing machine
Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a Candy washing machine, E19 usually shows up as one or more of these:
- No function at all
- Dead — nothing lights up
- Lights flashing and nothing happening
- Programme won't start
- Machine tripping the electrics
- E19 flashing on the display
- Beeping and showing E19

What usually causes it
- Phone not held in the right place, or moved away too soon during the transfer
- NFC switched off on the phone, or a phone that doesn't support it well through a case
- The Candy app losing the connection part-way through sending a cycle
- A fault on the NFC reader itself, or on the main control board it reports to
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn NFC on in your phone's settings, take any thick case off, and hold the phone flat against the marked NFC area on the machine until the transfer finishes
- Close the Candy app fully and reopen it, or restart the phone, then try sending the programme again
- Switch the machine off at the wall for a minute and turn it back on to clear the code
- Try selecting and running a normal programme from the dial \u2014 if it washes fine, the problem is limited to the phone link
