What E02 actually means
The dishwasher isn't getting the water it expects, so it has stopped the cycle rather than carry on washing dry.
On this integrated electriQ model, E02 is the water inlet fault. The machine opens its fill valve at the start of the cycle and waits to see the water level rise; if that doesn't happen within the expected time, it aborts and shows the code. You'll usually notice it early in the programme, often with the dishes still dry and detergent untouched in the dispenser.
What E02 looks like on a ElectriQ dishwasher
Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a ElectriQ dishwasher, E02 usually shows up as one or more of these:
- Not filling with water
- No water going in
- Takes for ever to fill
- Stops right at the start of the cycle
- Overfilling, or won't stop filling

What usually causes it
- The water tap feeding the dishwasher is closed or only part open
- Inlet hose kinked or squashed behind the machine after it's been pushed back in
- Blocked filter screen where the hose connects to the tap
- Faulty or stuck water inlet valve on the machine
- Low mains water pressure, or the supply has been isolated elsewhere in the house
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Check the tap under the sink or behind the unit is turned fully on, and that other cold taps in the house are running normally.
- Look at the inlet hose where you can see it — if the machine has been moved or pushed back into its housing, the hose may be kinked or trapped.
- Turn the dishwasher off at the wall for a minute, switch back on and restart a short programme to see if the code clears.
- If the machine did part-fill, clear the filters in the base and run the cycle again.
