ElectriQ E07 dishwasher: what it means & what to check

What E07 actually means

The dishwasher has lost a sensible reading from its water temperature sensor, so it has stopped the cycle rather than heat blind.

E07 is raised by the control board when the thermistor — the small probe that tells the machine how hot the wash water is — reads as short-circuited. Because the board can no longer trust the temperature, it cuts the programme straight away, sounds the buzzer for about half a minute and puts the code up. You'll usually notice it partway into a wash, with dishes left wet and unwashed and the water not heating.

What usually causes it

A failed water temperature sensor (thermistor)
Damaged or chafed wiring between the sensor and the control board
Moisture or corrosion in the sensor's connector

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Check nothing has been spilled or leaked underneath the machine that could be getting into connections
