What H01 actually means

The machine can't get a sensible reading from the temperature sensor that tells it how hot the water is, so it won't heat.

H01 on these Flavel machines points to the NTC — the small temperature sensor sitting in the water — reading as either open circuit or short circuit. Because the control board has no trustworthy water temperature to work from, it refuses to switch the heater on rather than risk running it blind. In practice you'll see a wash that stays cold all the way through, or a cycle that halts and flags the fault instead of moving on to the heating stage.

Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then power it back up and start a short wash — an occasional one-off reading can clear
Run a cold wash to confirm the machine otherwise fills, washes and drains normally, which helps the engineer narrow it down
