What F22 actually means
The dryer's motor control board and its power board have stopped talking to each other properly, so the machine halts rather than run the drum.
Hisense uses two separate circuit boards in these dryers — one handling incoming mains power, one controlling the motor — and they exchange signals constantly while a programme runs. When those signals don't add up, the dryer flags F22 and refuses to continue. The first step is a full power-down and restart, because a one-off communication glitch will often clear that way; if the code returns, one of the boards or the connection between them is genuinely at fault.
What F22 looks like on a Hisense tumble dryer

- Switch the dryer off at the wall, leave it a minute, then switch back on and press start/pause again
- If the code clears, run a normal cycle and see whether it stays away — a single occurrence after a power cut is often nothing more than that
- Avoid running the dryer through an extension lead or adaptor; plug it straight into the wall socket
