The machine's control electronics have reported a fault they can't recover from, so the cycle has been abandoned.

Hisense group everything from F04 up to F98 together as an electronic module fault or lost communication between the control board and something it drives \u2014 a motor, a heater, a sensor. On this washer-dryer that means the programme stops where it is, often part-way through with water still in the drum, and the code sits on the display until the power is cycled. The manual gives no owner-level remedy for anything in this range, unlike the water and drain codes, which tells you it is not something adjustable from the front of the machine.

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Turn the machine off at the wall socket, leave it for a minute, then switch back on \u2014 a genuine one-off glitch will clear and not return
Check the door is properly shut and the catch isn't fouled by laundry, then restart a short programme
If water is left in the drum, run a drain or spin programme and see whether it completes before assuming the worst
