What F00 actually means
F00 on a Miele washer means the machine has no fault stored — nothing has actually been logged against it.
In Miele's fault list, F0 (shown on some models as F00) is the "no fault registered" entry. It is what the control shows when the fault memory is empty, which is why it usually turns up when someone has been into the service or test mode rather than during a normal wash. It is not a breakdown code and it does not point at a component.
What usually causes it
- Someone has entered the machine's service/test mode and read an empty fault memory
- A stored fault has been cleared, leaving nothing logged
- A one-off glitch that cleared itself after the power was cut
- A genuine problem that stops the wash but never gets logged as a numbered fault
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then switch back on and start a short programme to see whether it behaves normally
- Clean out the drain pump filter behind the flap at the bottom front, using the pull cord to drain first
- Check the inlet hose at the tap is not kinked and the tap is fully open
- Open and firmly reclose the door so the catch engages properly
