What F64 actually means
The machine can no longer tell what position its water routing valve is in, so it has stopped rather than risk sending water to the wrong place.
Miele washer dryers use a water path control unit directs incoming water to the different dispenser compartments and into the drum. A sensor reports back where that unit is set. F64 means the control board is not getting a believable signal from that position sensor, so it cannot confirm the water is going where the programme asked, and it halts. It sits alongside F63, which is the routing unit itself rather than the sensor watching it.
What F64 looks like on a Miele washer dryer
Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a Miele washer dryer, F64 usually shows up as one or more of these:

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

- Check the detergent drawer and dispenser housing are clean and free of set detergent, and that the drawer is pushed fully home
