What E10 actually means
The control board is not getting a sensible reading from the water level (pressure) sensor, so it stops rather than run a cycle blind.
On these Montpellier machines E10 is raised against the EPS \ ells the board how much water is in the drum. During the factory/service self-test the pump runs briefly and the board expects the sensor's signal to sit inside a narrow frequency band; if it reads outside that band, or nothing is detected at all, the test is abandoned and E10 is displayed. What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then back on, and see whether the code returns
- Clean the filter and check the drain hose is not kinked or pushed too far into the standpipe
- Make sure the machine is not sitting on a slope or hard against the wall in a way that traps the hoses behind it
