Montpellier F07 dishwasher: what it means & what to check

What F07 actually means

The dishwasher has detected that the water inside has got hotter than it should — above about 77°C — and has shut the cycle down to stop it overheating.

The temperature sensor (NTC) in the wash tub reports water temperature back to the control board throughout the whole cycle, not only during the heated stages. If it reads above roughly 77°C, the machine treats it as an overheat, aborts and flashes the fault — on models without a display you'll typically see all the lights blinking instead of a code. It stops because uncontrolled heating can distort plastic items in the baskets and damage the machine itself.

What F07 looks like on a Montpellier dishwasher

Turn the dishwasher off at the wall for a minute, then switch back on and start a short cool programme to see whether the fault returns straight away or only once heating begins
If the machine is plumbed into a hot water supply, check that isn't feeding it unusually hot water
Let the machine cool fully before retrying — a hot tub from the previous cycle can trip it again
