What E10 actually means
The dishwasher isn't getting enough water in, so it has stopped before washing anything.
During the fill stage the machine expects the tub to reach a set water level within a certain time. When that doesn't happen it halts the cycle and puts E10 on the display rather than running the pump dry. On the TX3BD608 the fault is nearly always about water getting to the machine rather than anything inside it.
What E10 looks like on a Teknix dishwasher
Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a Teknix dishwasher, E10 usually shows up as one or more of these:
- Not filling with water
- No water going in
- Takes for ever to fill
- Stops right at the start of the cycle
- Overfilling, or won't stop filling
- Stops with water still inside
- Fills and drains over and over
- E10 flashing on the display

What usually causes it
- Water tap at the sink turned off or only part-open
- Kinked or trapped inlet hose behind the machine
- Blocked filter in the inlet hose where it screws onto the tap
- Low mains water pressure, or the supply temporarily off
- Faulty water inlet valve or level sensing inside the machine
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Check the tap feeding the dishwasher is fully open, and run the kitchen tap to confirm you have mains pressure.
- Look behind the machine to see the inlet hose isn't kinked, crushed or bent tight — pull the appliance out only as far as it moves freely.
- With the tap closed, unscrew the inlet hose at the tap end and rinse out the small mesh filter in the connector, then refit it hand-tight and check for drips.
- Switch off at the wall for a minute, then power up and restart the programme — the code won't clear on its own until the machine is restarted.
