What E30 actually means
The dishwasher has detected water where it shouldn't be and has shut itself down to stop a flood.
E30 is the leak alarm on this Teknix. The machine's anti-flood protection has been triggered "14 either water has escaped inside the appliance, the inlet valve has stuck open and let water keep filling, or the drain is blocked and the water has nowhere to go. Teknix's own instruction is unambiguous: close the water tap, unplug the machine and call service rather than trying to clear it and carry on.
What E30 looks like on a Teknix dishwasher
Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a Teknix dishwasher, E30 usually shows up as one or more of these:

What usually causes it
- A leak inside the machine " 14 typically from the sump, a hose joint or the door seal area
- The water inlet valve stuck open, so the machine keeps filling
- A blocked drain causing water to back up and overflow the tub
- The aqua-stop safety hose has triggered " 14 its indicator window turns red and the hose then has to be replaced
- Overfoaming from washing-up liquid or too much detergent pushing water past the seals
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the water tap off at the wall and switch the dishwasher off at the socket " 14 do this first, before anything else.
- If your machine has the aqua-stop hose, look at the small window on the hose fitting at the tap end. If the marker has gone red, the safety device has fired and that hose needs replacing.
- Look under and behind the machine for standing water and mop it up so you can see whether more appears.
- Check the drain hose has not been kinked or crushed, for example by something pushed in beside the machine.
- Take the filters out of the base, rinse them and refit them properly " 14 a blocked drain path is one of the causes Teknix lists, and if there is standing water in the bottom of the tub that is worth ruling out.
