What E27 actually means
The appliance is telling you it lost mains power — it's a power outage warning, recorded on Beko's vaccine/medical storage cabinets rather than an ordinary fridge freezer fault.
On Beko's vaccination cabinet models, the control monitors the mains supply and logs E27 when the cabinet has been without power. It is a warning that the contents may have been left uncooled for a period, not a fault with a fan, sensor or the cooling system itself. If this code has appeared on a domestic fridge freezer display, the model is almost certainly reporting something else and the code should be confirmed against the model's own list.
What usually causes it
- A power cut or the supply being switched off at the wall
- Plug pulled out or a loose socket
- Tripped fuse or breaker on the circuit
- Supply interrupted while the cabinet was moved or cleaned
- Battery back-up not maintaining the record during the outage (see E28)
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Check the plug is fully in and the socket switched on
- Check the fuse board for a tripped breaker
- Turn off at the wall for a minute, then back on, to see if the warning clears
- Check the cabinet temperature reading has returned to its normal set point before trusting the contents
