What E30 actually means
The machine has lost a sensible reading from one of its temperature sensors, so it won't run the cycle properly.
On Beko washer-dryers, E30 points at the temperature sensors — the wash sensor and the condenser outlet sensor — reading either open or short circuit, usually because their shared plug has come loose from the control board. Because the machine can no longer tell how hot the air or water is, it either stops or drags the drying stage on far longer than it should. Owners often notice the laundry coming out bone dry and over-heated, or the programme time creeping up, before the code appears.
What usually causes it
- Sensor plug on the control board pushed loose or not fully seated
- Faulty condenser outlet temperature sensor
- Faulty wash temperature sensor
- Damaged or chafed sensor wiring inside the machine
- Control board fault (less common)
What you can safely check yourself
Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.
- Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then power it back up and see if the code returns — a one-off glitch will clear
- Note whether it happens on wash programmes, drying programmes, or both, and whether the load comes out unusually hot — that tells the engineer which sensor to look at first
