What E35 actually means

The heating element that warms the air for drying has gone open circuit, so the machine will wash but won't dry.

Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then power it back up and try a short drying cycle \u2014 an occasional false reading will clear
Try a wash-only programme; if that completes normally, it confirms the fault is on the drying side and you can keep using the machine for washing
Avoid packing the drum full when drying \u2014 overloading restricts the airflow the heater relies on and is a common trigger for heat cut-outs
Check the machine isn't pushed tight against a wall or boxed into a cupboard with no air around it
