What H01 actually means

The machine can no longer read the water temperature, so it has stopped rather than heat blind.

H01 (H1) is Beko's code for a fault in the temperature sensor circuit — the NTC thermistor sitting in the tub has gone either open circuit or short circuit. Because the control board has no reliable temperature reading, it won't switch the heater on, so the cycle either stalls early or runs through cold. In practice you'll notice washing coming out unheated before you notice the code.

What H01 looks like on a Beko washing machine

Most people find this page having searched for what the machine is doing rather than the code itself. On a Beko washing machine, H01 usually shows up as one or more of these:

Machine not draining
Water left in the drum at the end of the cycle
Stops mid-cycle full of water
Standing water in the bottom
Not filling with water

What usually causes it

The NTC temperature sensor itself has failed
A loose or corroded plug on the sensor connection
Damaged wiring between the sensor and the control board
Water or detergent ingress around the sensor connection
Less often, a fault on the control board that reads the sensor

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Turn the machine off at the wall for a minute, then power it back up and start a short cycle — occasional one-off readings do clear
Run a cold wash to confirm the machine otherwise fills, washes and drains normally, which tells the engineer the fault is confined to heating
