What E15 actually means

The control board has lost the expected signal from the condenser fan — the fan that cools the coil and compressor at the back of the appliance.

The fault puts E15 down as a condenser fan error. That fan is not the one you hear inside the cabinet moving cold air around the compartments; it sits at the back with the compressor and condenser coil, and its job is to pull ambient air across the coil so the heat the fridge freezer has removed from your food can actually escape. When the board asks for that fan and doesn't get the running feedback it expects, it flags E15. Cooling may look normal for a while, because the compressor keeps working, but it will be working against a hot coil and both compartments can gradually drift warmer.

Appliance pushed too tightly against a wall or into a tight recess, so the coil area cannot breathe and runs hot
Wiring or connector to the fan disturbed at the rear of the cabinet
Control board not reading the fan feedback correctly

What you can safely check yourself

Work through these in order. Anything beyond this — panels off, testing parts, anything to do with the wiring — is an engineer's job, and not one to attempt with the machine plugged in.

Turn it off at the wall for a minute, then back on — if the fault was a one-off read, the code may not return
Pull the appliance forward if you can do so safely and check nothing has fallen down the back, and that there is a clear air gap behind and above it
Vacuum dust away from the outside of the rear and any lower ventilation grille, without pushing anything into the fan or removing any cover
Check the room isn't unusually warm or the appliance boxed in by units, which makes the condenser fan work far harder
