What E23 actually means

The fridge freezer tried to join your home Wi-Fi, could not get connected, and has given up trying — it is a connectivity message, not a cooling fault.

The fault puts E23 with the network side of the appliance rather than the sealed system: the module attempted to establish a Wi-Fi connection, failed, and stopped retrying instead of looping indefinitely. Turn the appliance off at the wall for a minute, then back on, and let it settle
