Electrolux F25 microwave: what it means & what to check

What F25 actually means

The control electronics have failed to read their own stored memory correctly, so the appliance has shut its power section down rather than carry on.

On startup, or when it goes to load its settings, the user interface board checks the data held in its flash memory. If that read fails or the data comes back corrupted, the interface sends a shutdown command to the power board and puts F25 on the display. It stays there — the code will not clear on its own and cooking is locked out until the interface is switched off.
