New World F06 dishwasher: what it means & what to check

What F06 actually means

The dishwasher has lost trust in its water temperature sensor, so it has stopped the programme rather than carry on heating blind.

F06 on these New World machines points at the NTC — the small temperature probe the control board uses to judge how hot the wash water is. It is either an NTC failure (sensor out of order, or its cable connection at fault) or, on some control versions, as the board reacting to an overheat reading from the same sensor circuit. Either way the machine will normally quit part-way through, usually around the heated wash or rinse stage, and the dishes come out cold or the cycle never advances.

What F06 looks like on a New World dishwasher
